[Forbes USA, Michelle Gross] Emerging like something out of a covert mission in a James Bond film, luxury hotel brand Aman has announced plans to launch a brand new super yacht. Currently going by the codename: ‘Project Sama,’ this will officially mark the first at-sea hospitality offering by the brand and it’s slated to go into service in 2025.
“The announcement of project Sama marks an exciting moment in Aman’s growth and evolution as we not only continue to diversify our geographical portfolio on land but also at sea, creating sanctuaries in unfrequented locations and continuing to reframe the concept of luxury hospitality,” Chairman and CEO of Aman, Vlad Doronin said in a statement.
Designed in partnership with Netherland’s based SINOT Yacht Architecture & Design, Sama, which translates to tranquillity in Sanskrit, will feature a total of 50-luxury suites each with their own private balcony, as well as an informal all-day dining concept and international dining options as well as a club lounge, Japanese-zen garden and an expansive Beach Club on the stern of the ship when its completed.
Of course the real pièce de résistance will be the Aman Spa which will no doubt be one of the most luxurious at sea wellness offerings to date.
With 33-luxury resorts, hotels and private residences spanning across 20-countries around the world, Project Sama — which will be a joint venture between Aman and Cruise Saudi, an entity owned by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia — has high hopes of marrying the brand’s legendary hospitality and design-forward aesthetic while creating an experience unlike anything the high seas has ever seen.
While Project Sama is the name of the project at present, Aman has said they will unveil the true name of the vessel in due time.
“Project Sama will provide transformative experiences within the revered AMAN setting and service which is unlike any other yacht experience, ultimately creating a whole new category in on the water discovery,” Vlad Doronin said.
